Vimos fasta venaos y un Guardia que mos siguía. O eso creemos.// Cutty Sark has its name after the famous ship. As a touch of destiny my memories of this whisky are joined to those of my travellings. Spring of 93’, Athens. We celebrated our arrival with a couple of bottles of Cutty, bought in Omonia Square to a canny but friendly barman. Our first sight of Greece never would have been better. summer of 97, London. I was spending my first staying in the UK. My Pal Alan was my host in a little cutie suburb of East London. One afternoon the phone rang. It was Zulima, a close uni-mate who were attending anEnglish summer course in Oxford. She was inviting us to stay for a week so we didn’t hesitate: We took the backpack, a couple of Cutty’s Bottle, some flowers and chocolates and picked the citylink bus. Oxford, here we go!!!. My friend prepared a great welcome party. She was living in a Bungalow- type University Guest House with a lot of people from different origins. Italians, Spanyards, Germans, Russsians, Portuguese people and... Us. The party was a great success, Including Tortilla and Calimotxo, courtesy of the Navarricos brothers, with the whisky and ginger ale flowing a -go-go. We ended the party up climbing the wall of the King’s College- Women Ward of course-, paying not attention to Alan’s warnings about our breaking the law, and crossing the campus running off the porter and coming across a bunch of harts .Or were they an illusion?
